Bacchanal recruits a village of new people!

The Beginning

Bacchanal has been absent from the hash for an extended period. As fait would have it, she is now “back” and eager to set a trail. Teamed up with Lazy Cummer, this dynamic duo were enthusiastic to set trail in the Bridgeland/Renfrew communities in the NE.

The Courtyard Pub was selected as the nominal starting location. Hash friendly and able to host us.

In addition, Bacchanal has been recruiting and we were swarmed with new runners that she coerced to join us. Quite an accomplishment as we had almost 40 people present at the run start.

The actual starting point was a couple of blocks away from the pub. The hares provided explicit details for those that could follow instructions.

The group assembled at a location with a great view of the city, and prepared for the running experience.

Camshaft made an effort to get the group to form something that looked like a circle.

Bacchanal (missed her in the circle, so park picture will have to do)

Camshaft ran the circle and went through the announcement and introductions. With some 14 new boots, a lot of new names were revealed! Hope to link the names with the circle photo’s.

The hares were called in to describe the marks they had set for the pack to follow.

The hares described the marks and the use of flagging to mark the trail. The pack was released to find the true trail!

The Trail

Off the pack went, initially finding the check backs that had been set. Eventually, true trail was found and all was good!

Off to find the marks and the playgrounds. Confusing start but great views were part of the run experience.

Some good marks to show us that we were at the end of the trail. Outdoor down down’s in the park for a big group. This took some work to set up and run!

What are these down down’s we are waiting for?

The Down Down’s

With Hump the Shark as the Religious Advisor (RA), he gathered the stories that he would base his end of run performance. Dastardly and Lazy Cummer prepared the beverages and the stage was set.

Call in the hares and give them a down down for an epic trail!

Many other offences were observed on trail. Hump the Shark had quite a list!

LSOS call out for fashion offence. Impersonating the RA

Snevil agreed to be the RA for next week, and we were then declared “on the piss”.

After the run, the group retired to the Courtyard Pub for food and refreshments, as well as to be part of the great Hash Kilt raffle, organized by Hot Cheeks.
