Having way too much fun!
The Beginning
We were pleased that Pyro volunteered to set trail for the group. He is know for setting great trails in challenging terrain. The hills of Tuscany and Scenic Acres provide some great views along with elevation changes.
The run started near the intersection of Tuscany Boulevard and Nose Hill Drive NW, in the Home Depot/Tim Horton’s parking lot.
The start location was busy with shoppers and patrons of the recycling bins that were conveniently located nearby. The group filtered in and found a suitable location to have the circle.
A good turn out of over 30 hashers, including some returnees from last weeks run with Bacchanal doing a great job of recruiting new hashers to the group.
Camshaft went through the announcements and introductions, then the hare was called into the circle to describe the marks.
Pyro pointed a direction and the pack was released.
The Trail
Leaving the parking lot, the pack fanned out to find the marks for true trail. There were some busy street crossing that needed to be navigated prior to finding the wide open spaces.
With the trail done, the runners waited patiently as the walkers were out for a long walk. Eventually, all was made right as the regroup beverages were available.
With outdoor down down’s, the group created an encampment to rival some of the best unhoused persons installation.
The group got set up and waited patiently for the down down’s to begin.
The Down Down’s
Bacchanal volunteered to be the Religious Advisor (RA) for the evening. She assembled her program as the beer Meister’s prepared the beverages for down down consumption.
Bacchanal called to pack to order, and selected a choir to help with the singing portion of the ceremony.
Bacchanal selected a choir based on matching shirt types. A group of orange started singing themselves a song.
First off, the hare was acknowledged. Pyro set a fine trail for all to enjoy.
The group were declared “on the piss” and retired to Nottingham’s Pub for debriefing.
