The Beginning

St. Patrick’s Day is a time to celebrate. Everything Irish and everything green. Thankfully, our hares were on top of the cause and made the effort to select and Irish themed pub to host the event, and encourage green attire be worn for the run.

The group assembled at Murdoch’s in the light of the early evening, thanks to Daylight Savings Time!

The pack was called to circle up by Insane Bolt and congregated in the parking lot close to the pub.

With the St. Patrick’s Day spirit, there were some special treats for the pack to enjoy. Artfully created Jello shots in appropriate colours!

Insane Bolt ran the circle, working through announcements and introductions. The hares were called into the circle to explain the marks for the run.

The pack was released to find the marks and enjoy the trail.

The Trail

Off went the pack into local neighbourhoods of Glendale, Killarney and Glenbrook.

Thankfully, parks were available for the pack to play in.

Through the streets and alleys the run unfolded, much to the pleasure of the runners and walkers!

A long and challenging trail eventually ended up at the regroup, where this was much rejoicing and refreshments.

Girl Guide cookies were available courtesy of Huggy Bear and her supportive mother – Strap On Crampon.

After the regroup was done, it was off the the bar to settle in and start the down down’s.

The Down Down’s

Murdoch’s Pub and Grill was well set up to handle the group. The pack settled in for food and beverages.

The Religious Advisor duties were performed by the Hump the Shark. Choir of Liquor Lots and Hot Cheeks.

It was difficult to piece together the story with the pictures, but this is what you should find here:

Hares, for setting a fine trail. OPP for sending a runner to the Kayak for another Jello show. Daisy Duke was an archive. King Shit’s dog, Vinnie, apparently left a package in the parking lot. KK has special new shoes. Never Been and Just Francis were bashing. Dastardly for being a leprechaun with beer supply. Just Jen possible naming. Strap On dealing cookies. LC got lucky.

After all was done, the pack was declared “on the piss”

Trail Summary

A fine run of over 6 km’s was delivered the the willing group. Good use of the green colour to enjoy the day!
