Typical St. Paddy’s Day Posture
The Beginning
St. Patrick’s Day, or there abouts, is a time for celebration. St. Patrick’s Day, celebrated on March 17, honours the patron saint of Ireland, marking the day of his death. Originally a religious feast day commemorating the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, it has evolved into a global celebration of Irish culture, heritage, and pride, featuring parades, special foods, music, and wearing green.
It was appropriate that Slow Clap and Roaring Nancy volunteered to set trail as they are familiar with the colour green. The venue selected was Murdoch’s Bar & Grill, with is an Irish Pub. The weather was good with a chinook blowing in, making for nice warm and sloppy weather!
The pack arrived at the pub, found parking, and heading inside to prepare for the run.

Keeping track of the time, Insane Bolt announced that it was time to head outside and circle up.
A good turnout of hashers was present to celebrate all things green, and pretend to have some sort of Irish connection engage.

Insane Bolt was called into the circle to go through the announcements and introductions. A good turnout of 27 hashers all dressed up and ready for a fine run.

The hares were called into the circle to describe the marks for the evening’s trail.

With the marks described, the pack was released to find the trail.
The Trail
Off from the parking lot, the runners and the walkers dispersed to find the appropriate marks.

Apparently the runners had a much better time. Here is some evidence that there was active playing and trail tracking.

From the regroup, the pack headed back to the pub to prepare for the down down’s.
Down Down’s
Back to the pub, the group settled down to figure out what beer and food to order in anticipation for the down down’s to start.
King Shit was the Religious Advisor (RA) for the evening. King Shit had his program prepared and launched into the program.
First up were the hares, who had set a fine trail for the pack this evening.

With the down down’s complete, we were declared “on the piss”
Scribed by Skewbic Hair.
Trail Summary
A fine trail of some 5 km was set and enjoyed by the group. Thanks for Slow Clap and Roaring Nance for setting trail and for encouraging all things green.
Hash Extra
There was much exuberance around St, Patrick’s Day. Here are some additional pictures that demonstrate the vibe.
